Stitch and Tell
Discover the wonderful world of bookbinding and the many different ways of putting pages together. Choosing between traditional and self-conceived binding techniques, participants will create their own unique bindings for a book/portfolio of their artwork and stories.

Puppet Power
From the cute to the crazy, the fluffy to the ferocious, invent your own puppet character and make it come to life! Participants will explore character types and puppet-making methods, creating unique and wacky puppet personalities for play and possibly performance.

Stranded on a Desert Island
If you could have one food on a desert island, what would it be? Participants will brainstorm about island geography through mapping games, discuss strategies for survival and build 3-D topographical models of islands they won’t want to be rescued from.

Funny Pages
Learn how to turn squares into stories! Inspired by graphic novels and mini-comics, participants will use basic bookbinding techniques and cartoon drawing tricks to transform their own incredible but true stories into full-blown comic books.

Cabinet of Curiosities
Tusks, coral, roman coins, astrolabes, starfish, gem-stones... what marvels would you display in your own cabinet of curiosities? Participants will learn about these 16th century precursors to museums as they create their own contemporary displays using hand-made, found and recycled materials.
