Saturday stARTers invite children to participate in sessions of four art classes that relate to the exhibitions on view or explore specific media. Offered in French and English.

Ages 6 to 12

Morning sessions: 10 am – 12 pm
Afternoon sessions: 1 – 3 pm

Cost: $130 ($110 for Friends of Oakville Galleries)

October 4, 11, 18 and 25
The Land of Wood and String
Through puppet-making, lighting effects, miniature architecture and folding sets, participants will bring their unusual stories to life in portable box-theatres fashioned out of wood and string.

November 8, 15, 22 and 29
Everyday Armour
Participants will test the boundaries of what is wearable by making their own elaborate ensembles (footwear, garments, hat, gloves, and accessories) to be paraded in a last-session fashion show.
