This summer, Oakville Galleries was delighted to bring Art of Refreshment to Gairloch Gardens as we offered a new seasonal program that invited visitors to slow down, enjoy the gardens, and discover some of Oakville’s exciting local food talent.
Over the past few months, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming small food businesses and entrepreneurs to the gallery, creating opportunities for visitors to enjoy something refreshing and delicious while exploring our exhibitions, participating in summer art camps, walking along the lakeshore, or simply lounging in the gardens. From coffee, fresh drinks and baked goods to açaí bowls, churros and tacos, each vendor brought something distinctive to Gairloch Gardens and helped us imagine new ways of connecting art, place, and community.
We are grateful to everyone who joined us, and especially to the local food makers who shared their creations with our visitors. Thank you to Shircuteriere, oh.fresca, and Chucho's Churros for feeding us and our visitors.
As we celebrate the conclusion of Art of Refreshment in 2026, we’re also looking ahead to its return in 2027. We thank our visitors and participating vendors for making the first season of this program such a success, and we look forward to exploring new ways to bring local food, culture, and community together at Gairloch Gardens next summer.
Please note that the 2026 season concluded 3 weeks earlier than originally scheduled due to unforeseen circumstances.
Thank you for joining us for a taste of summer at Oakville Galleries!
